TOP SOIL AVAILABLE
A large amount of top soil is available from 102 McDonnell Drive.

We’d be happy to allow trailer loads to be taken (with prior arrangement) or, if a lot is wanted, to consider sharing costs of delivery within Buckingham Estate. Delivery to further afield will mean a greater share paid by recipient.

Bore Water Quality, Buckingham Estate

By David Gibson 11/Feb./2011
Two samples of bore water were taken on 8 and 11 Feb. 2011 from a tap in lot 48. About 100 liters was run from the tap before each sample was taken.

I analyzed the samples for electrical conductivity at Geoscience Australia (where I work as a geologist) using a portable conductivity meter. This is a simple test that indicates the saltiness of water. (read more here)

Summary of the Buckingham Survey

NSW Gov. Office of Fair Trading "Living in a community Scheme" .pdf document

July 2010: I feel so privilidged to live in one of the most beautiful locations in Australia. We are all so fortunate to have such freedom, privacy, fresh air, space, beautiful landscape, shops & services & friendly enthusiastic neighbours.
Since I moved here ten years ago the gardens of Buckingham have transformed dramatically, from an almost "moon landscape" to what now resembles many sought after suberbs and locations around the Country. We have good solid private roads, new electric fencing (with more to come), plenty of water in our dams (at the moment - we survived the drought!) and the pastures have been maintained.
Buckingham is a truly valuable asset - one that future generations will revere and only fifty two very priviliged lot owners are fortunate enough to own.
Enthusiastic residents who obviously have the same vision, have given up their time and energy to clear the forest for fire hazard reduction, and to plant trees in community areas. Horse owners are so fortunate to have their horses where they can see them and ride them any day, children can ride their bikes and explore the dams and fields as if they were in a bygone era. We are all so lucky!

BIRDS of MEALLA WAY

During 2009 Bob W positively identified 24 bird species in Mealla Way. Can you ad to the list? We can ad a pair of Black Swan which we recently saw on "Turtle Lake" after the big rain (Turtle Lake, so named by some of the children in the estate is the lake you see mid way left,on McDonnell Drive). How nice to see so many birds today, and lets hope the list continues to grow.

Have you seen the new bird on the block.

BSK

A few of us have seen this bird and we now all positively think it it is a black shouldered kite.

BORE INDICATOR POSTS

BORE ON OFF

Bore Indicator Posts have been positioned at the front of the Estate on Hope and McDonnell Drive.  The Bore Indicator Posts will serve two purposes to the residents of Buckingham.  Firstly; the arrow will indicate the status of the bore. That is, on or off. Secondly; a mail box has been included on each post which will have copies of current BCA newsletters and/or information available to residents who may not have access to the internet.
